Dimitra Aravantinou

Vice President in charge of Academic Activities (AA)

My name is Dimitra Aravantinou, I come from Athens and I am in the fourth year of my studies. This year I have the particular pleasure and honour of serving as Vice President for Academic Activities of ELSA Athens.

From my first steps at the Faculty, I understood that real engagement with Law extends far beyond the lecture benches and the pages of the codes, and requires a constant search for new stimuli and ways of bridging theory and practice. In the organisation I found exactly that: a group of people with solidarity, a creative spirit and dedication. It is the space that allows us to discover contemporary aspects of law, often unexplored in lectures, and to develop both as tomorrow’s lawyers and as active citizens.

For this year, my goal is to strengthen the footprint of the Academic Activities Area. While respecting our established initiatives, I aim to introduce new, interactive themes that touch on the protection of human rights and today’s social challenges. Above all, I want this Area to be an open community of dialogue and a meeting point where every student finds room for inspiration and growth.
