“My name is Dionysis Vallianatos, I am 20 years old and I am in the third year of my studies at the Law School of Democritus University of Thrace. I also have the pleasure and honour of serving as President of ELSA Komotini for the 2026/2027 term.
My journey in ELSA began a year ago, when I was selected as a Specialised Collaborator in the Seminars and Conferences Area. A year full of organising committees, activities, challenges and, above all, people who gave real meaning to this experience and helped me to get to know ELSA deeply, along with the values that make it special. Now, with even greater willingness to work and a sense of responsibility, I continue this journey from the position of President, a position that for me is an opportunity to contribute even more meaningfully to the course of ELSA Komotini and to give back, in my own way, what this organisation has given me.
The Presidency is perhaps the most distinctive Area, as it is the one that sets the general direction of the association and ensures that its activities clearly reflect its vision. My goal for this year’s term is for ELSA Komotini to become even more accessible to the students of Komotini and, at the same time, to expand both its financial partnerships and its contact with bodies and organisations, so as to maintain the high standing of its activities and to increase its visibility accordingly.
At the end of the day, ELSA is not simply a student organisation. It is the moments, the people we meet, the relationships we build and the memories we take with us.
And perhaps that is ultimately the most beautiful part of ELSA: that behind every activity and every success there are people who give meaning to all this effort.
For me, this is the greatest responsibility that comes with the position of President: to work together with consistency and vision, creating a year that will leave a meaningful mark on ELSA Komotini and be something we can all be proud of.”
