My name is Efthalia (Thalia) Papa, I am 19 years old and I am in the second year of my studies at the Law School of Democritus University of Thrace. This academic year I have the pleasure and honour of serving as Vice President for Seminars and Conferences of ELSA Komotini.
My contact with the association began as early as the first year of my studies, when I was given the opportunity to get to know and join the ELSA network as a Specialised Collaborator. My participation and contribution in a multitude of activities made me realise very soon that ELSA Komotini is much more than a simple legal association. It is the experiences, the people and their shared vision for the even greater development of legal science. It is the ideas, the activities and the challenges that can arise in carrying them out. Above all, though, it is a space full of dreams and ambition, which inspired me to contribute in my own way to a community and a cause far greater than myself. A year later, I therefore decided to run in turn for the position of Vice President, continuing the work of those who came before.
My goal for this year is to organise activities distinguished by their quality and experiential nature, delving into branches and issues of direct concern to the legal community. My priority is to strengthen the Seminars and Conferences Area even further, contributing directly to the transnational outlook of the Local Group.
With great gratitude and joy, I look forward to a wonderful and productive term, full of special experiences and even more special people.
