Eirini Diakrousi

Vice President in charge of Academic Activities

My name is Eirini Diakrousi and this year I have the pleasure and honour of serving as Vice President for Academic Activities of ELSA Athens. I am 22 years old, I was born and raised in Athens and I am in the fifth and final year of my studies at the Athens Law School.

From the beginning of my studies, I realised that law is not merely a theoretical edifice composed of codes and articles; it is a living system that touches the core of social life and embodies fundamental values such as justice, equality and meritocracy. Through my active participation in the organisation, I was able to grasp in practice this human dimension of law: the ability to build bridges between theory and everyday practice, while cultivating teamwork, cooperation and solidarity among the members of our community.

My vision for this year’s term is to continue and develop the work of my predecessors, maintaining the quality of the existing activities while at the same time strengthening the Academic Activities Area with new initiatives. At the same time, I aspire for ELSA Athens to continue to be a space for raising awareness of human rights and social responsibility, through activities that leave a real mark on our academic community.
