Eirini Theodoromanolaki

Secretary General (IM)

“My name is Eirini Theodoromanolaki, I am 20 years old and I am in the third year of my studies at the Law School of Democritus University of Thrace. This year, I have the particular honour and pleasure of serving as Secretary General of ELSA Komotini.

My first contact with ELSA began as early as my first year, when I took part sporadically in the association’s activities. From the very first moment I had realised that ELSA was not a simple association, but a piece of the puzzle of an organisation that envisions a fairer world with respect for human dignity and cultural diversity, and brings students closer to legal science and its ideals.

My substantial and decisive contact with ELSA began last year, when I was selected as a Specialised Collaborator in the Internal Management and Human Resources Management Area. Through this position I understood that the General Secretariat is omnipresent, in front of and behind every activity, both by undertaking the bureaucratic duties and by creating an environment in which members and Specialised Collaborators feel safe and at ease to communicate and cooperate.

With a sense of responsibility, then, and guided by the principle that a team’s success is judged from its foundations, the goal for this year is to secure a strong structure for the smooth operation of the association and the development of its dynamism. I therefore pledge to keep minutes, records and official documents of ELSA Komotini in exemplary order, as well as to manage the association’s member databases properly, with modernised means and tools. At the same time, human resources management is also high on the list of priorities.

ELSA is its people, and that is why this year I wish both our members and the wider student community to learn what ELSA is and how it can become a milestone in the path of every law student.”
