My name is Georgios Koutsonikas, I am 23 years old, I was born and raised in Athens and I am in the final year of my studies at the Athens Law School. This year I have the pleasure and honour of serving as Vice President for Professional Development of ELSA Greece.
My journey in ELSA began with my participation in competitions, workshops and conferences from the very first years of my studies. Through these experiences I had the opportunity to interact with student members of ELSA in Greece and abroad, which helped me understand the importance and value of the network. As a Specialised Collaborator and then Vice President for Professional Development, I was able to work with remarkable people, to work with dedication and to gain experiences that will stay with me throughout my life.
As Vice President for Professional Development of ELSA Greece, my vision is to bring students closer to the job market, creating meaningful bridges with the professional world and opening up new paths to opportunities. In cooperation with the Local Groups, I seek to develop activities that will strengthen the skills of young lawyers and prepare them for the demands of professional reality. I believe that the Professional Development Area can, on the one hand, be a catalyst for students’ professional paths, offering them experiences, skills and opportunities that open up new horizons, and, on the other, showcase the work and outreach of ELSA Greece, both in Greece and internationally.
