My name is Kyriaki Mamougiorgi, I am 23 years old and I study at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while I also have the great pleasure and honour of serving as President of ELSA Greece for the 2025/26 academic year.
My first contact with ELSA came rather late, when in the 3rd year of my studies I filled in the application to be a Specialised Collaborator of the local group. In the years that followed, I served as Specialised Collaborator for Internal Management and External Relations of ELSA Thessaloniki, as well as for Organisational Matters of Moot Courts of ELSA Greece. My multifaceted involvement with the ELSA network culminated in the previous academic year, with taking up the position of President of ELSA Thessaloniki, and subsequently of President of ELSA Greece.
Entering a landmark year for the national network, we will be called upon to shape its Strategic Direction for the next four years, a task that we will complete collectively with the whole Network. My personal outlook for this year’s term is to place emphasis on the Organisation’s outreach and on its recognition beyond the framework of the legal community.
Another priority is the support of the people who choose to link their own personal journey with ELSA, by securing the framework within which every young lawyer will be inspired and will inspire. Motivated by this pursuit, I also aspire for this year to mark the beginning of a more active involvement of the ELSA Greece Alumni network, reminding us of the timelessness of the Organisation and the power of the vision we continue to serve.
Through the ICMs, the NCMs, the Conferences and the Job Fairs, the trips and the Competitions, ELSA will become for each one of us whatever we allow it to be, and who knows, perhaps we will discover it together.
