Marilita Fasomytaki

Vice President in charge of Seminars & Conferences (S&C)

“Dear network,

My name is Marilita Fasomytaki, I am 22 years old and I am in the final year of my studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School. The current academic year finds me in the position of Vice President for Seminars and Conferences of ELSA Thessaloniki, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the most beloved story of my student years.

Turning back time, my first contact with ELSA came at the end of the first year of my studies, as I discovered the magic of the ELSA vision and of the people who gave it life. Many things have followed since: information events, conferences, organising committees, a Director position in the Treasury of ELSA Greece and Director S&C at ELSA Thessaloniki.

And it would be a lie to say that these sum up my journey in the organisation. Because in reality, these years were much more. They were inspiration and motivation, vision and faith in a fairer world, moments and people whom, despite our differences, the association managed to unite.

For this year, I envision a qualitative upgrade and renewal of the Area through the organisation of activities of a high academic standard, which go beyond the limits of the lecture halls and serve as a spark for legal reflection.

With the same enthusiasm I felt in my first contact with the association and the same dedication with which I helped as a Director in organising activities, coming to the present day and together with the team of Specialised Collaborators, I look forward to leaving our own mark and turning this term into a unique journey.

Because some paths you do not choose alone. You walk them together with others.”
