My name is Mary Livereza, I am 20 years old, I am in the 3rd year of my studies and this year I have the honour of serving as Secretary General of ELSA Komotini.
My journey in the ELSA Komotini association began last year, as a Specialised Collaborator in the Internal Management Area (General Secretariat). In this capacity I was able to see the association’s activities, interact with the rest of the Extended Board and, above all, understand in depth the responsibilities of my Area.
My journey in the Network so far has allowed me to realise that ELSA Komotini is not simply an association that organises activities around legal science. It is a living and dynamic community of students, united by a love of law, a willingness to cooperate and the common aim of giving back to the student community. Through its activities, ELSA combines theoretical knowledge with the practical dimension of legal science, giving students the opportunity to come into contact with the legal profession, to acquire useful skills and to broaden their horizons at an extra-academic level.
At the same time, my active participation in this process has allowed me to cultivate important skills, such as teamwork and responsibility.
My goal for this year’s term is, initially, to speed up the purely bureaucratic processes, such as member registrations. However, my personal challenge is the management of human resources and everything this entails. I would like to place particular emphasis on the Extended Board Trainings, as they not only provide valuable knowledge and skills but, above all, cultivate a sense of “belonging”. Through them, members feel that they form a single team, cooperation is strengthened and trust is built, elements that are decisive for the progress and vision of our Group.
Therefore, for me ELSA Komotini is not just an organisation; it is a team that unites, develops and inspires.
