My name is Michalis Patsikas, I am 20 years old and this academic year I have the particular pleasure of serving as Treasurer of ELSA Thessaloniki.
My journey in the organisation began just a year ago, when I filled in the application for the position of Specialised Collaborator in the Financial Management Area. And somehow, that is how I became a member of a large team with a common vision, full of eagerness to create, but also to learn. With passionate people who inspire me and whom I am glad to work with.
The importance of the Treasury for the sustainability and growth of ELSA Thessaloniki is decisive. Its proper functioning allows the organisation to be outward-looking, to carry out activities with quality and continuity, and at the same time to offer benefits in return to its members. The role of the Area, therefore, is not limited to managing numbers, but lays the foundations for an organisation that is constantly growing and gives back tangibly to its members.
My vision for this year is an ELSA Thessaloniki that is accessible to every student and young lawyer in the city. An environment where every member can take an active part, develop their skills, socialise and cooperate. A community of people that grows at both a personal and a professional level.
