My name is Nikos Bakopoulos, I am 20 years old and this year I have the pleasure and the honour of serving as Treasurer of ELSA Athens.
My own journey at ELSA Athens began as early as the first year of my studies, in my role as a Specialised Collaborator for external relations, which gave me the chance to get to know ELSA’s work, activities and people better. Having seen their dedication and passion for the organisation, I was inspired to continue. So I decided to take on a more active role as a Specialised Collaborator for professional development, a key Area that pushed me to get involved in practice in important activities, which brought me closer to the role the association plays.
My goals this year focus on safeguarding the association’s financial stability, developing the sponsor network and providing support to all our activities, ensuring they are completed smoothly. Another goal of mine is to continue the important work of my predecessors and to ensure the right conditions for the smooth and effective operation of the treasury in the future.
Financial management is not a narrowly administrative process, but the cornerstone that turns our team’s goals and creative ideas into action. On this journey, we walk together with a common compass: expanding ELSA’s influence, cultivating legal education and strengthening synergy, always remaining faithful to the fundamental principles of law and social contribution.
