Spyros Vagenas

Secretary General

My name is Spyros Vagenas, I am 21 years old and this year I am in the 4th year of my studies at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. At the same time, I have the pleasure and honour of serving as Secretary General of ELSA Greece.

Having now completed three years of active presence in the Organisation, after two terms at ELSA Athens – first as a Specialised Collaborator for Internal Management and Human Resources and then as Secretary General of the Local Group – I can say with certainty what the Network has given me. Development, vision, motivation. And, above all, people. Those who work collectively, who create, who care. Those who inspire me to keep going.
I recognise how important sound internal management is for the smooth operation and cohesion of the Network, as it is the basis on which all our efforts and our growth rest. This is also the strength that brings me today to the position of Secretary General of the National Group – a role pivotal to safeguarding internal cohesion, institutional continuity and human support within the Network.

In a year that marks the transition from internal reorganisation to meaningful consolidation, my aim is to combine institutional stability with outward-looking engagement. I place emphasis on strengthening internal processes, protecting members’ well-being, the proper management of personal data and the day-to-day support of the Local Groups.

With respect for the dignity, diversity and vision of every member, I pledge to contribute to building a national Network that is safe, functional and humane, and that will meet the challenges of the day ahead.
