My name is Vasileia Zourdoumi, I am 20 years old and this academic year I have the pleasure of serving as Vice President for Academic Activities at ELSA Thessaloniki.
The past year was for me an opportunity to get to know the world of ELSA and also to try out new abilities and facets of myself. That was my motivation to apply for the position of Specialised Collaborator in the Academic Activities Area, thus beginning a journey full of experiences, collaborations, knowledge and creativity.
During this journey I met people whom I now consider my friends and I realised that the real strength of the organisation lies in the young people who surround it; people with energy, dedication and a vision to leave their positive mark. With these valuable experiences and a desire to contribute my own part to the organisation, I decided to take the next step, which brought me closer to the Academic Activities Area.
My vision for this year, then, is to give the Area a strongly humanitarian and social character. At a time when human rights are at the centre of current affairs, I aspire, through the activities, to cultivate students’ awareness and to raise social questions.
