The ELSA Law Schools are among ELSA’s most popular and internationally recognised projects. They are intensive seven-day educational programmes, organised by ELSA Local or National Groups across Europe, each focusing on a specific area of law. Participants have the opportunity to delve into specialised legal issues through lectures, workshops and practical activities, all conducted exclusively in English.
Every year, dozens of Summer and Winter ELSA Law Schools are organised in different countries and cities across Europe, giving participants the chance to choose both the subject that interests them and the destination they wish to visit. The academic programmes include at least 20 hours of classes, seminars and workshops, delivered by university professors, lawyers, judges and other distinguished legal professionals with an international academic background.
Beyond the academic side, every ELSA Law School includes a rich cultural and social programme, giving participants the chance to get to know the host country, discover new cultures and build friendships and professional contacts with students and young lawyers from all over the world. This international experience contributes substantially to developing intercultural skills and to building a strong network of contacts for the future.
The ELSA Law Schools are open to law students and young lawyers, regardless of any prior specialisation in the subject in question, offering a unique opportunity for academic progress, personal development and international networking in the spirit of ELSA.
In Greece, the ELSA Law Schools are among the most successful and well-established institutions of ELSA. For more than ten consecutive years, all three Local Groups of ELSA Greece have been organising Summer and Winter ELSA Law Schools with great success, hosting hundreds of participants from across Europe. The academic quality of the programmes, the international dimension of the events and the unique experience they offer participants have made the Greek ELSA Law Schools a point of reference in ELSA’s international network.
