The Greek Network of EUROPE DIRECT, with the support of the Representation of the European Commission in Greece and the European Parliament Office in Athens, is organising the 4th EU Jobs and Mobility Roadshow on Wednesday 16 December 2020, starting at 11:00.
The EU Jobs and Mobility Roadshow began modestly in 2016 and travelled across Northern Greece, from Alexandroupoli to Thessaloniki. Today, after three successful editions, 8 meeting cities, dozens of representatives of organisations and hundreds of participants, the EU Jobs and Mobility Roadshow is the largest knowledge-sharing and information event. The content is being expanded, moved to a digital environment and now addresses the whole of Greece, every interested person who wants to follow the topics that concern them, easily and immediately from their computer.
The event, in which 35 representatives of European Institutions, bodies, organisations and entrepreneurs take part, will be welcomed by the Head of the Representation of the European Commission, Mr Giorgos Markopouliotis, and the Head of the European Parliament Office in Athens, Mr Konstantinos Tsoutsoplidis. The honorary guest of our event will be the Vice-President of the European Commission for Promoting our European Way of Life, Mr Margaritis Schinas, who will talk with the journalist Ms Eleni Varvitsioti.
The topics to be discussed concern:
1. the changes in the labour market brought about by the European Green Deal and the Digital Age,
2. Youth Entrepreneurship,
3. Youth Mobility Opportunities,
4. Training, Skills and Finding Work.
The event is aimed both at the general public and at more targeted groups, such as students, recent graduates and the long-term unemployed.
