The Summer Law School of the European Law Students’ Association Athens (ELSA Athens) on the topic “INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT LAW AND ARBITRATION” was successfully completed. It was organised, for the fourth consecutive year, in cooperation with the Research Centre for Public International Law of the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Athens PIL), under the academic supervision of Lecturer Anastasios Gourgourinis. The event took place from 18 to 25 August 2019 at the Propylaea of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, under the auspices of the European Organisation for Mediation and Arbitration (EODID).
This year’s event featured distinguished professors and lawyers from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden and Greece, while the academic programme was strengthened by the participation of Young ICCA (the global non-profit organisation for international commercial arbitration), enabling international lawyers with practical experience in the field of international arbitration to share knowledge and professional advice with the participants in an interactive scientific workshop.
