ELSA Thessaloniki, in cooperation with the Union of Trainee & Young Lawyers of Thessaloniki – EANDiTh, held last week its first two-day conference of the current academic year.
The conference, entitled “New Criminal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure”, took place at the Piraeus Bank conference centre and in the “Ioannis Manoledakis” amphitheatre of the Thessaloniki Bar Association (Thessaloniki Bar Association).
The first day was devoted to substantive criminal law. The speakers, professors from the law schools of Thessaloniki and Komotini, approached the forms of offences and the penalty system of the new criminal code, as well as issues of intertemporal law, while on the second day issues of criminal procedural law were analysed.
The conference was held with the support of the Thessaloniki Bar Association.
Attendance and interest were truly great, and this motivates us for our next activities.
