This year the Expressis Verbis Law Journal stands out for another reason as well, and that is that its interviews are not limited to the confines of our country; on the contrary, the endeavour acquires an international character.
The third issue of the legal journal managed to travel to the distant and beautiful The Hague through the Nikoleta Mavromati, member of the Editorial Board.
We had the unprecedented opportunity to receive from Adamis Paris, National Member for Greece at Eurojust and former head of the International Police Cooperation Division S.I.Re.N.E, an extremely interesting and topical interview, and to hear about the weighty role that Eurojust plays in combating ever-burning cross-border crime, as well as how this organisation tries to curb the dominant phenomena of our days, which are none other than terrorism and human trafficking. Finally, this interview is imbued with useful insights into the future of the organisation, while the European prospects of our era are also highlighted.
Among other things, we quote the following that he shared with us:
[…] As regards human trafficking, it is a fact that several reasons contributed to its increase. If we had to rank them, we would certainly put economic factors first, as the surge of the phenomenon coincides with the so-called restructuring of Eastern Europe. There, a transitional period was needed for peoples to get back on their feet, so poverty also brought exploitation, even of human beings. […]
Anticipation for the publication of the journal is reaching its peak. Authors and interviews literally launch the effort that began a few months ago.
