Expressis Verbis Law Journal

Expressis Verbis Law Journal

The momentum of the interviews continues, and the second one to be featured comes to confirm it in the most characteristic way. This interview comes from the academic sphere, specifically that of criminal law, from a person particularly dear to student circles.

The Professor of substantive criminal law at the AUTh Law School, Nikolaos Bitzilekis, shared with  Kostis Mylonas and  Tatiana Kyttaroudi, members of the Editorial Boar d, some of the burning issues that give rise to reasonable questions about criminal doctrine at the level of the Greek and not only legal order. The draft of the New Criminal Code, the continuing clashes between criminal theory and case law, and the frightening growth of cybercrime in recent years are some of the topics addressed by this year’s legal journal.

Among other things, the professor stated the following:

“[…] The mission of theory is to facilitate and help the judicial application of the law and, in general, the administration of justice. In order to achieve this goal in the best possible way, scientific dialogue between theory and practice is necessary. While the courts of substance, especially in recent years, attempt a noteworthy dialogue with theory, one could not say the same of the Supreme Court. […]”

Soon the journal comes out in print and you will have the opportunity to study all the interviews that give a new perspective on a variety of legal issues.

Authors and interviews literally launch the effort that began a few months ago.
