The International Legal Research Group (ILRG) is an academic project carried out every year by ELSA International with the aim of bringing students and young lawyers into contact with comparative legal research on a specific law-related topic. The results of this research are later published online and are accessible to the international legal community. Every ELSA national group that wishes to take part in the ILRG forms its own Legal Research Group, the findings of which together make up the Final Report of the International Group. Each national group’s team consists of the Researchers who carry out the research, the Technical Editors who shape the style of the research and the Linguistic Editors who ensure the correct use of terms according to the standards of the International Group. The national team is supervised by the National Coordinator, who is also the team’s link with ELSA International. The topic that this year’s ILRG members will deal with is: “Human Rights in the Age of Advanced Digital Technology”. In particular, the aim of the research is to identify the threats posed to human rights by the development of new technologies, how these are dealt with in practice today, and which policies must be adopted for the effective protection of human rights.
