It is time to learn some further information about the theme of the first two-day conference of ELSA Greece, for the academic year 21/22!
The aim of the Corporate Transformations Law Conference is to inform the public about the new legal framework of corporate transformations, following Law 4601/2019. Within this framework, distinguished speakers, academics, lawyers, and members of the Law-Drafting Committee of Law 4601/2019, will inform the legal community about corporate transformation issues, highlighting aspects of Company Law, Insolvency Law, Tax Law and Competition Law, providing a
comprehensive picture of the new legislation.
Indicatively, issues of shareholder and creditor protection will be discussed, forms of
transformation such as the division and the hive-down of a business unit will be analysed, issues of transformations within insolvency proceedings and restructuring proceedings will be presented, as well as issues such as the tax treatment of national and cross-border transformations, and the treatment and scrutiny of the latter under competition law.
