Following the successful organisation of the 7th National Moot Court Competition and the official assumption of duties by the ELSA Greece Board for the 2021/22 term, the baton passes from Alexandros Avramis to this year’s Vice President for Moot Courts, Elpiniki Gavouneli.
Elpiniki shares a few words with us about the 8th NMCC:
“The Moot Court area is one that supports precisely one of ELSA’s most important goals; it brings students closer to legal science and links theory with practice in an impressive way. It gives the up-and-coming lawyer the opportunity to test their knowledge and abilities not only in legal research and writing, but also to practise oral advocacy before an audience made up of leading figures of the country’s legal community. From the position of Vice President for Moot Courts, a position provided for the first time in the Greek network, I hope to further upgrade the National Moot Court Competition and to contribute to promoting the International Moot Court Competitions: the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition (formerly the European Human Rights Moot Court Competition) and the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition.”
